About Puri & Odisha (Jagannath Dham & Konark)

Only practicing Hindus are permitted inside the main Jagannath Temple sanctum per centuries-old temple tradition. Non-Hindus can view the temple from the Raghunandan Library roof.

Mahaprasad consists of 56 divine dishes cooked in the temple's mega-kitchen using seven stacked earthen pots over wood fire, available daily at Anand Bazaar.

Konark is 35km (approx. 45 mins drive via the Marine Drive). Satapada (Chilika Lake) is 50km (1.5 hours drive) from Puri.

October to March is the ideal season with pleasant coastal temperatures. The world-famous Rath Yatra (Chariot Festival) occurs in June/July.
